Review: Shiseido Multi Defense UV Protector SPF 50 PA+++

Living in a country that is hot and humid all year round, I find it’s important for a sunscreen to feel light on my skin, offering high protection at the same time. I’d hate to put on the sunscreen, then sweat and feel like a dirt magnet because everything will stick to my face like glue! And not to mention the horror when all my makeup start to melt…

Well… not so bad, but anyway… Have you found an SPF 50 PA+++ sunscreen that does not make your face shine like a disco ball? I have!!!! Finally!!!!!!!

Here it is! Shiseido Multi Defense UV Protector SPF 50 PA+++. It is noncomedogenic which is great for me. I break out easily and just “survived” a bout of skin allergy where those whiteheads and blackheads popped out like little volcanoes on my face. Eek!

I have been using it every day for the past month and unless I find a better one, I will stick with this.

Would you recommend this over Kiehl's Ultra Light Daily Defense? I'm worried that this will make some white residue when applying my makeup afterwards..

  • Chloe.Ash

Hi Wynnce, I haven't tried Kiehl's but this does not leave any residue at all. It's the most comfortable sunscreen I've tried! And I think it retails for RM125

wao! the price is reasonable too. i think i need to change my mind to Shiseido then~thanks for reviewing.

No probs. I really love this sunscreen!

I've got this on hand and I like it!! It is so light-weight and shine free (the most important part)! Estee Lauder sunblock always make me feel so heavy and shine like a disco-ball as you said during noon time. I'll said this is as good as Clarins and Chanel. Clarins and Chanel need a little bit more time for them to sink in before applying anything afterwards. And they are tinted (Clarins) and a little even out my skintone (Chanel). However, this is much cheaper ^_^

I'm glad u like it! I'm on to my second bottle!

My friend is looking for this everywhere in Orange County, CA and she can't find it anywhere! I'm also having trouble finding it online. Any suggestions?

  • Chloe.Ash

Oh dear, really? I'm wondering if it's something they only sell in Asia. Clarins has a pretty good one too. It's 100% mineral screen. If you still want to try the Shiseido one, give me an email and I'll see how I can help you out.

Is this a newer version for this multi defense — http://www.urcosme.com/beautynews/article-4236.ht… ?

Hey Wynnce, I went to have a look after reading your comment, but the packaging is still the same. So, I’m not sure what version this is!
