Eyeko Line and Shine: Super Star

Let me just reiterate that I love Eyeko’s Graffiti Eyeliner Pen. So, I also decided to try their duo colour pencil for eyes. There are 3 to choose from – Super Star (purple/plum), Pop Star (blue/teal) and Rock Star (black/silver).Featured here is their Super Star.

Eyeko Line and Shine, duo colour pencil for eyes

These pencils go for US$7 each at eyeko.com. If translated to MYR, it will only set you back for RM22 or so. These babies are shipped from UK and Eyeko offers free worldwide shipping if your order is $55 or more. So, if you want to save on shipping fee, you might want to “ship pool”. OK, I know that word doesn’t exist… but you get the idea.

Electric Purple

Super Star comes in 2 colours – Plum leans very brown and warm, where Electric Purple leans blue.

Plum

These pencils are pretty creamy so they’re fairly easy to smudge and blend. I find I must use a good eye primer first because these pencils do crease on my lids even when I used it under powder eye shadows. They are not smudge or crease proof, but it’s OK. Thank god for UDPP! Oh, for those who don’t know, UDPP stands for Urban Decay Primer Potion. My beloved eye primer.

Below are the swatches:

L: Electric Purple, R: Plum (drawn and smudged)
In case you were wondering if these 2 colours can be worn together, I swatched them together, blended. Swatches are done without any primers.
L: Electric Purple, R: Plum (smudged and blended)
Here are some options on how to wear this. Ideas are only limited to your creativity…
1. Wear them alone
2. Electric Purple on your upper lids for the pop and Plum to line your lower lash line (and vice versa)
3. Electric Purple on lids with Plum to define crease & outer corners of lids
4. Wear them as a base, over primer, under pigments / shadows
The Line and Shine pencils are a good inexpensive option of a cream base, I reckon. The colours are bright and fun. Depending on how you wear it, they can also be work appropriate. But I say just go all out, have some fun and make it as bright as possible!
