Sunday Sharing: Link Love

I love reading beauty blogs from all over the world. It is interesting to read other’s opinions and reviews on a particular product, or to find out about new launches, or even just to get makeup and skincare tips. This week, I managed to get some very useful blogging tips!

Lighting is very important in taking good pictures. It doesn’t matter what camera you have, if there isn’t a good light source, photos will not turn out right. This is especially true for product photos. Jessica shares how to get great lighting, even though mother nature is working against you. I find this very helpful, but do bear in mind just using this will not get you pristine photos. There’s much more to it, but this is a great start!

Beautyholics Anonymous

You have taken great photos to share with your readers, but the high quality photos are huge in size, making your page very slow to load. You might lose impatient readers that way. Tine shares how to optimize images for your blog.

My Women Stuff

As a blogger, I value comments left by readers. I remember when I first started, I jumped for joy when someone left me a comment, and was devastated when I accidentally lost it. I messed up 🙁 Even now, I am very excited to read comments from you and I take time to reply each comment. Paris shares how to promote and encourage discussion on your blog. I find this very helpful. It is just a simple tweak to your blog!

I hope you enjoy reading these articles as much as I have! Sunday Sharing: Link Love will be a regular feature here. I will share with you some good reads every week, and to introduce to you some blogs you might not have bumped into yet 🙂 Happy Sunday, and to Malaysians, Happy Long Weekend!! No Monday blues tomorrow… we can all sleep in. Hahaha!

No, thank you for a great post!

I am so tempted to try and recreate the lightbox! 😛 Though I might get it from my boyfriend as he sells camera accessories. It might help me take better pictures, after all 😛

The lightbox helps when there isn’t much light. For me, it helps when I’ve had a busy day and I needed to take photos at night. You should give it a try!

  • Thanks for the link – glad it helped 🙂

Thanks for the post! Yes, helped loads. I’m totally absorbing whatever I can from your experience. LOL!
