Yet Another Empties Post

I’m on a roll, aren’t I? It’s not even the end of the month and I have yet another empties post. I sucked these products dry, to the very last drop… I’m so proud. There’s this weird sense of achievement until the cold hard realisation….Repurchase. This is my most expensive empties post so far.

The Batiste dry shampoo is a bit of a cheat, because it’s so small, it was spraying air by the 6th use. This Original dry shampoo has a hint of lemony scent which is refreshing. Beats Fudge dry shampoo and its very strong coconut smell. Not a fan. This dry shampoo gets rid of the oil on my scalp so I can wash my hair every other day. It adds a little bit of volume, not too much, but hair is still swooshable (I know it’s not a word. So shoot me). I also have the Batiste XXL Volume dry shampoo but that’s like dry shampoo and hair spray in one. My hair feels crunchy. Anyway, that should be reviewed later.

Oh, my favourite serums and mask. My beloved Dior, how sad to see you go. I will repurchase the One Essential serum and mask, but I might just dabble in another whitening serum. We’ll see. I guess I’ll be changing some of my skincare routine after all. Any to recommend? Oh wait… I do have backup from Antipodes.

When I used up my Origins Checks and Balances cleanser, I knew A Perfect World would follow. I bought these 2 cleansers at the same time after all. I’m not one to be loyal to just one cleanser. I like to experiment, and a review of what I’m using will be up soon πŸ™‚

Did you manage to empty anything recently?

Sneaky announcement:Β Please look forward to something new and exciting tonight at 7pm (GMT+8). I’m super anxious so please come back to see what it is!

xoxo Lily

Yes yes! This month’s empties are Batiste XXL dry shampoo, Bifesta’s make up remover, Biore’s make up remover for eye and lip, Aesop’s Bitter Orange Astringent and Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir! I’m on a roll too ! πŸ˜€

    • Oh I like the Biore makeup remover! Yay for finishing stuff you bought! πŸ™‚

  • BooBooNinja

Congrats! It *does* feel immensely satisfying to finish products. I’ve been working hard on getting through my stash and enjoying several successes. Thanks for sharing. πŸ™‚

    • I’ve repurchased some essentials and it’s been expensive πŸ˜› I guess if it works then it’s worth it, right?

      • BooBooNinja

It’s worth it to learn what products are good investments and have value. πŸ™‚

        • It’s true isn’t it? Now to get my priorities straight and stop straying. LOL!

  • You are on a roll! My list of empties this month was sad and pitiful, haha. I think it goes in spurts.

    • Yeah, I don’t think there will be that many in the coming months. We’ll see! πŸ˜›

  • that is a BIG empties post! Go you! πŸ™‚ I don’t think I could manage that! I do have a ton of nearly finished shower products, so I hope i can get those finished up by the end of the year! πŸ™‚

    • I’m using up my shower gel and already used up my shampoo. Maybe because I buy smaller sizes… I like to try different stuff so unless I’m in love with the product, I just get the average sized bottle.

I’m very very tempted to get the Dior One Essential. Oops, did I say the Dior word again for the eleventy two times in your blog comments…I have not been helping myself much because I intentionally run a search of Dior One Essential reviews on Madame Google and all the reviews seemed to be uber positive. Now, how many piggy banks will I need again for Dior palette and skincare? πŸ™‚ Reason for Dior One Essential is because I have 2 deep parallel horizontal lines on my forehead and my laughing line is rather deep to me if I may say so. Hmm so I thought, should I try Dior One Essential because I am thinking if I can sustain the purchase if it works…Lol, a woman and her dilemma πŸ˜›

    • I love that you’re loving Dior. Dior is my favourite brand. You have to try One Essential. I used up the face serum and mask and have repurchased. It was painful, but well worth it. Even hubs approved of the re-stock, even though it was darn expensive. You should go to the counter and ask for a sample of the serum, just to get a feel of the texture πŸ˜€

Sephora is offering 20% off now for their members. So for 50ml at RM430, 20% off is a good deal I reckon πŸ™‚ I’ve read that some people break out from using One Essential. But it also does wonders for those who didn’t break out from it. Gah! Such timing. Anyhow, I’m not a Sephora member yet. I just went for facial just now and it was bad because I’ve very bad acne bout lately due to work stress and sorts…lol. So I didn’t feel nice to drop by Dior to request for a sample to try before purchasing. Thanks for your tip and reinforcement that it’s good that even your hubby is approving the pricey investment, I’ll be sure to try it soon πŸ™‚

        • Yes, the Sephora member sale. My friend posted some photos on Instagram (her Sephora haul) and it does look like a very good deal. Do let me know if you decide to get it. I’d like to know how it works for you too. I hope your skin clears out soon…I get that sometimes too. Some breakouts here and there. I do blame it on stress and hormones so I guess both of us need to sit back and relax, let some good chi flow through our body πŸ˜›

Yeah, all products at 20% is even better than the department store GWP or additional voucher redemption. Money saved is better than converted into another voucher or product πŸ™‚ Okie, I shall update you if I get the precious serum. Anyways, yeah, I agree with you that we need to press the pause button sometimes and let the balance adjust itself again. Hey Ipoh is a nice place for that balance to happen. I used to go there every quarter last year and was very much in love with the air, scenery and food there. And KL is a few hours ride away, next time you can come here to fill up the Christmas stocking too πŸ™‚

            • I need to leave my credit card behind if I go to KL. Hahaha!!
