I’m A Bandit. A Lipstick Bandit.

It’s been a crazy exciting month, I tell you. CRAZY! And I love it. If you’ve been following Chloe.Ash regularly for the last few months, you’d know that I am part of a trio group called Femme Boulevard. We do themed looks monthly and get this, guys, I am now also part of Lipstick Bandits! For the uninitiated, Lipstick Bandits is a group of beautiful bloggers who share the love of lipsticks and I am honoured to be a part of the family.

So for Christmas Eve (Merry Christmas everyone!), I am inducted to this gang of Lipstick Bandits. I am to paint on a mask and red lips. Sophisticated bandits we are. The mister suggested Hamburglar. Yes, he tries to be funny! I’ve already shown you how I apply red lips, so I’ll just skip right to the mask. Truth be told, it was a challenge for me, and after mulling over it for over 2 weeks, I decided to go with the basics. Photo above is edited ala The Shadow. Have you seen the movie? Alec Baldwin had super white eyes when he turned into The Shadow. Don’t I look a little freaky too?  I’ll be there… around every corner… in every empty room… as inevitable as your guilty conscience… LOL! OK everyone… Ready for the reveal?

For the mask, I used MAC fluidline in Blitz & Glitz. I drew the outline of the mask then painted it in. I had an idea in my mind, but it turned out different. My hands didn’t cooperate. It was my first try, getting the mask to look even, and then debating whether to paint my eyes black or to leave a hole… and somehow, the mask turned out like this. I used Dior Grand Bal Palette for the gold and silver eye shadows. I used the gold to diffuse the edges, and the silver to brighten my lower lash lines. I piled on the mascara and made my lips a little fuller. The lipstick I used was Guerlain Rouge G L’Extrait Luxure. If you haven’t tried this, you MUST. It’s a great classic red, and sooooo sexy.

Being a bandit calls for mysterious low key photos! That’s what the hubs said. Photography thanks to Le Hubs. He also edited the photos for me because he said he had a vision. Yeah. Right. He is no professional photographer, but he likes messing around and we were experimenting with lighting. So don’t be too critical, ok? 😉 Also, we found out that certain tilt of the head and certain placement of the light made me look like I have a super sharp chin. Disclaimer: In real life, I DO NOT have such a sharp face.
