Dior Serum de Rouge Are A Treat For The Lips

I bought my first Serum de Rouge 3 years ago and I actually used up about 3 of them. That says A LOT because I can never really use up a lipstick unless I put my mind to it. I just never got round to talking about them, so I thought I’d finally tell you how much I love them.

Dior SdR1

The Serum de Rouge come in a long and slim cigarette-like tube. The older packaging had a silver CD logo on the cap, but the newer version looks like it has a blue cover over the silver logo, making it look like a holographic peekaboo effect in real life. The cap snaps open and you twist the bottom to get the lipstick out of the tube. You’ll hear clicking sound, and just 1 or 2 clicks will be more than enough for one application.

These are a few that I have, while I bought 2 of them, 620 was sent to me last year when it was launched with the Golden Jungle collection. #620 is Sensual Brown, #740 is Rosewood and #760 is Raspberry. The texture of these lipsticks are to die for. If you have dry lips, these are your lip haven. They keep your lips moist and hydrated and the more you wear it, the better your lips are. The lipsticks have a nice slip but they don’t feather or bleed. When I feel like my lips are more parched than usual, I ALWAYS have this Serum de Rouge with me. I don’t know if it’s all in my head, but after wearing them, my lips actually feel better. LOL! On me, they wear about 4 hours, and then I’d gladly re-apply.

These 3 shades that I have are quite warm, with Sensual Brown* being the most, well, brown. However, it is sheerer than the other 2, and my natural lip color shows through, making it look redder. I wore it <here> if you want to have a look. Rosewood is very similar to Sensual Brown, but more opaque and more red. Raspberry is a warm red with some beige undertones, and it brightens the face very nicely.

I can’t remember how much these are, but I’d suspect they are a bit pricier than their Dior Addict lipsticks. Have you tried any of their Serum de Rouge? If you haven’t and if you have drier lips, this is a must try. A few of mine are not shown here because my mom took them from me. Yup, that’s how good they are. Haha!

xoxo Lily

Definitely gonna give this a try! my lips are patchy and super dry ever since I got back from Australia! :((

    • Let me know how it goes for you if you try it. One of my faves when my lips aren’t behaving!

  • I haven’t tried anything from this line, but now I’m definitely going to look into it! The formula sounds like something that is great for everyday colors, something you’d keep in your purse all the time for emergencies!

    • Oh, you have to! I think you’ll love it šŸ™‚

  • Victoria

I have not tried any lipstick from Dior and this one looks really good. Raspberry looks like a colour that might suit my tan skin tone.

    • There are many shades to choose from, Victoria. Do let me know which one you pick!

  • I heard that a lot of dry lipped ppl love these because they are that hydrating on the lips! I was this close to buy one but I didn’t get through with it for some reason. Maybe because of the price and the amount you get? But reading your rave review made me rethink, I might pick this up soon! And I looove the raspberry red!

    • Oh, I would definitely say the price is worth the quality and what it does to my lips! Absolutely love!

  • This is a little more than what I would like to pay for a lipstick, but I always ended up getting a color from the line because the formula is my favorite. Yes, it’s that good.

    • Yay! I’m glad you love it too, Angela. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll go back to it, for sure!

  • Kiss & Make-up

I’ve never tried these, but I am in love with the Dior Addict lipsticks. These might make a great alternative in winter though, when my lips get all dry and flakey.

    • If you love Dior Addict lippies, you’ll LOVE this one. ESPECIALLY during winter. I kid you not!

  • I have two of these! I used to love them, but I sort of forgot about them T_T Thanks for reminding me about them, haha!

    • You’re welcome! But these babies are great aren’t they?

  • Liz
