I was going through my stash, and found some Bare Escentuals stuff. I forgot about the mineral foundation I had, but I had bought that when my skin was more oily. Now that my skin is more normal, I was wondering how it would fare. Of course, there was this L’Oreal BaseMagique silicone based pore filling primer that I didn’t like much. I decided to give it another try.
I haven’t talked about the bareMinerals foundation before, and maybe I should. I’d like to say that when it is buffed in, it does look very natural. However, it takes time to buff it in. When I’m in a hurry, this is definitely not something I use. I have to take back what I said about the L’Oreal BaseMagique. I said it didn’t do that much, but I’ve been giving it another go, and finally got a hang on how to use it. I PAT IT onto my open pores (by my nose), let it set a little before applying my foundation. It actually DOES help minimize the pores! However, I didn’t use this too frequently for fear it might block my pores or cause breakouts. Fingers crossed, none of that sort happened.
I fill in my brows as usual with my Shu Uemura H9 pencil, and my go to mascara the last 2 weeks was Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl (and yes, I realise the name is accidentally shortened in the photo above). I took out The Escape again, and found that it is still one of my most versatile duos. In the photo below, I only use the lighter shade as a wash on my eye lids. The darker shade was used to lightly smudge my lash lines. NARS Orgasm is still one of the most flattering blush on me, despite the overall ‘overratedness’. And then, the lipstick. I have been loving the easy going Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sandalwood Beige which is a nude that doesn’t wash me out at all. It is a coral tinged beige on my lips, and it adds warmth to my face which complements NARS Orgasm.
So that was my stash shopping edition 3. What have you been appreciating in your stash lately?
