Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Colour Nude Beige Review and Comparison

I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that Bobbi Brown is one of my first makeup loves. It is a brand of safe colours, so what’s better to start with? Even until now, I don’t play around with colours too much on a daily basis due to my conservative working environment. I used to love their creamy lip colours and went through a few tubes. However, some smelled really bad after a year or so, and I had to throw them away. Because of that, I stopped buying Bobbi Brown lipsticks. However, my mom’s Lip Colour in Brownie was still going strong, so maybe I had a bad batch or something? I don’t know. I was recently sent the Sheer Lip Colour in Nude Beige to try, and it brought back pleasant memories.

BB Nude Beige 1

The Sheer Lip Colour is lightweight and smooth, and has a slightly glossy finish. I don’t think it is sheer at all though. On my lips, the pink is wiped out by this Nude Beige, so it’s quite impressive 🙂 Bobbi Brown says that this is formulated with Shea Butter, Murumuru Butter and Apricot Kernel Oils, ingredients that rejuvenate, nourish, and improve the overall condition of lips instantly and over time. It is very moisturizing on my lips, and there is no flaking or drying. It wears 3 hours on me before fading and reapplying is a breeze. It feels like applying a tinted lip balm, only much more pigmented. As soon as I swiped on the lipstick, I remembered why I went through a few tubes of Creamy Lip Colour in Honeysuckle. I was very into nude lips back then. LOL!

I did some comparisons for you, Bobbi Brown Nude Beige among other nudes that I have, and you can see that Nude Beige is not that beige after all 🙂 Bobbi describes it as a pearl pink nude. I will wear it in another post so you can see how it looks like on me.

swatch comparisons

Thanks for the review! Brownie is my favourite lip color so looks like nude beige would suit me. Love the comparison swatches too, so useful, I’m certainly going to check those out 🙂

    • You’re welcome Jan, and I’m glad you found the comparisons useful! Are you going to get this, or perhaps another colour?

  • Hmmm sounds like maybe this might be my first BB lipstick EVER! I think I’ll try one!

    • YAY! I’d love to hear what you think about this formula… and which shade you choose 🙂

  • I was a bit scared when I heard Nude Beige. I thought it’d be really pale! The swatch looks promising. I have Pink Blossom and Hot Raspberry, and I’m definitely willing to get a couple more. The formula is pretty good!

    • The formula is very comfortable indeed 🙂 Other than Rosy and Hot Raspberry (which I’m definitely going to try), I’m looking for a fresh peachy nude that doesn’t wash me out. I wonder which one that will be. I need to test all of them. LOL!

  • Hi Lily! I have this in the Carolina shade! Its great because I’m quite afraid of wearing true red, but its like a more muted wearable red, and so I have been wearing it a lot. It pairs well the the Raspberry Pot rouge 🙂

    • That’s great, Sofia 🙂 I have to check out that shade too. I have Raspberry as well, and Carolina sounds like a lovely colour!

  • This one could very well be my first BB! This is right up my alley! 🙂

    • You have to try it, my dear. I hope you like it on you!

  • I love the BB creamy lipsticks! This is a gorgeous shade, I love a great nude!

    • Yay! I’m glad you love it too 🙂 And yes, this is a great nude

  • I just might have to hunt this down. Your swatch looks really nice. Definitely wearable!

    • Nude Beige is definitely very wearable. You should try it too!

  • That looks really good!! I might have to give into these! I love anything that is like a moisturizing stick balm but with way more pigment.. 🙂

    • I definitely think these are moisturizing enough without the application of lip balm. I don’t have dry lips to start off with, but these do make my lips soft and supple 🙂

I’ve never had a lipstick go bad on me. Either that or I was unable to detect it. Glosses are so much more obvious.

When I was all about natural lips, I totally loitered around Bobbi Brown counters way longer than was necessary. That seems like an awful long time ago. 🙂

    • Yes, Bobbi Brown is definitely associated with neutral and wearable. I haven’t had a gloss that went bad on me, but I never owned many glosses except for Dior. I had one for more than 2 years and had to throw it out, not because it smelled bad or the texture is off, but it was time. Safe to say that Dior glosses don’t go bad?? LOL!
