I have 2 Diorshow Mono Eye Shadows here, both of which are limited edition from the Birds of Paradise collection. One I find is very wearable, while the other is more dramatic. This is going to be a brief review, because I’ve talked about these eye shadow textures before, and the ones featured here are no different.
Parati is a bright cobalt blue while Feather is a muted minty teal green. Parati is matte while there is a slight sheen on Feather. Both colours apply more pigmented when wet, and Feather seems to work better than Parati. The reason is, Parati is very pigmented, and for such a bright and bold shade, it’s easier to make mistakes. Both go on smoothly, and even when used dry, they are not patchy or difficult to blend. I find that Parati blends out a little muddy on my eyes, but other than that, I don’t have much complaints.
Here are both the wet and dry swatches, and you would notice that the colours are much brighter when applied wet.
Here is how they look on my eyes. I wore them as a single colour on my lids, and when worn like this, Feather is easier to apply. It was tricky trying to get Parati to look good on its own. I’m afraid I’m lacking some skills. I can’t seem to get it to look even… a little patchy here and there. I prefer using Parati as a liner, because man, it pops and makes my eyes look whiter!
Have you seen these or tried them? Which one do you prefer?
