Sunday Stash Shopping #9

I have been using a couple of old stuff lately. You know I’ve been using that Dior Impressions Cuir Leather eye palette lately, since I featured that to create soft smokey eyesΒ previously. Another vintage item I’ve been loving is Dior Bronze Harmonie De Blush in 001 Rose Brazilia. I actually bought this online a couple of years back, when it was actually a limited edition item from 2009 if I’m not mistaken. I didn’t use them much until only recently. It’s a hoarding habit that is ridiculous, but hey I’m digging in now πŸ™‚ The look I’m featuring today is really simple, and I’ve been stuck in a makeup rut actually. Most of the days, I only use mascara, blush and lipsticks but when I have time to do more, I’ll do this…

I hit pan on 2 of my powders, one being the Lunasol one while the other is this Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Sculpting Powder in 011. If I’m not mistaken, this powder is already discontinued, so when I’m done with it, I’m going to have to look for another one πŸ™‚ The Dior Jelly Lip Pen is so easy to use that I’ve already put a huge dent in it. See how the bullet’s gone flat? LOL! (Note: And I just noticed the lip colour I’m using in the photos below is Clinique Curviest Caramel. Haha!)

The look that I’ve been wearing the last 2 weeks is a very simple one. I sometimes just use the dark brown in the eye palette for a simple smokey eye, or I’d use the 2 lighter colours for a hint of definition. Since I already showed you how I wear it dark, I decided to show you the lighter version. Blush is warm while lips add some brightness. I’ve been waking up late, so I skip foundation, apply Clinique Airbrush Concealer where I needed it and buff in the powder. I also skip eye liner and applied only 2 coats of Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara. A very simple but polished look for work. Of course, if I had more time, I’d add a brown eye liner πŸ™‚

kiss look

I hope you enjoyed today’s simple look. I’ll come up with something different next time but in all honesty, I’m really a neutral girl at heart πŸ™‚ What have you been enjoying lately?

xoxo Lily

I love this natural look πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Sataa. It’s easy to do too πŸ™‚

  • Love it! Simple an beautiful! πŸ™‚
I’ve been loving using light colours a lot lately-pinks and lavenders!

    • Pinks and lavenders on eyes, cheeks and lips! Pinks and lavenders remind me of My Little Pony πŸ™‚

  • Yeah, gotta use those products! I like how fresh you look. I’ve been pulling out a lot of pinks and corals lately, which is NOT MY USUAL MO AT ALL.

    • CORALS! Wow… I don’t like pinks so much, but corals, oranges, pinkorangered, yes πŸ™‚

  • Hello beautiful. I love that nude shade lippie on you πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Taylor πŸ™‚ I’ve been reaching for Curviest Caramel a lot lately. It’s just so easy to apply!

  • You are so pretty and photogenic, Lily! Love this simple look. Simple or dramatic, you always look gorgeous! LOVE that Clinique Chubby Stick. I really need that shade!

    • Aww thanks for your kind words, Becca πŸ™‚ And yes, you need this nude shade!

  • Honey

I was just thinking to myself that I’ve missed your Sunday Stash Shopping, and happy that you’ve got it going again. It’s great that you do not need foundation and can just make do with concealer and powder. Wish it’s the same for me, could’ve saved a lot of time!

Anyway, good easy-day look and something I generally wear on week ends too.

    • Hey Honey! I think this stash shopping series is one of the more popular posts so don’t worry, I won’t discontinue it. I love sharing old stuff. This look is perfect for every day, for sure. Glad you enjoy this series!

  • Catherine @ bcrueltyfree

So fresh and natural and pretty. I’m going to recreate a similar look today, thanks for the inspiration πŸ™‚ I wish I could take self-portraits that actually show what makeup I’m wearing, they always end up looking the same, the details of the colors just all blend together. Meh. Anyway, there’s something cool about seeing a post full of well-loved products, vs all new. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed by the amt of makeup I own and I like the idea of just creating things with what I already have vs with all new items

    • Thanks Catherine! I think the trick to getting the colours to show up is to apply it really bold in real life. If it looks overboard in the mirror, colours will show up in camera at half the intensity. Lol!

  • I’m a neautral girl at heart too! This look looks lovely on you Lily!

    • Thanks Sofia. Neutral loving girls unite! Hahaha πŸ™‚

  • Claire

I have to say that I really like the eyeshadow colours here on you πŸ™‚ I am loving Dior because of their glosses, nail polishes and Addict Extremes, can’t wait for the new powder blushes (oh and the cream blushers are adorable as well!) xxx

    • I’m excited about the new blushes too! I’ve heard some mixed reviews about their Fall cream shadows, but I’m still curious. Have you tried their cream blushes? I’m waiting for them to be available at local stores πŸ™‚

      • Claire

yes, I have! I picked up one and I like it a lot, blends nicely and I like them way better than YSL actually! I bet you will like them Lily πŸ˜‰

        • Ooh, I need to get my hands on them!

  • Glam! πŸ™‚ I love the products you chose to get in your stash. =D you look great, btw!

    • Thank you dear πŸ™‚ I might need to do a weekly stash shopping if I were to get through everything. Hahaha!

  • It’s simple and polished, I agree. I could never do brown eyeshadow without an eyeliner of some sort. My eyes will look puffy. Love Dior Impression Cuir and Rose Brazilia!!!

    • Hi Joanne, I think it works here because the browns are much darker than my skin tone, and I used lots of mascara πŸ™‚

  • Liz

Waaaaah, old Diors! I remember wanting that blush so badly. πŸ™‚

You always look so happy in these shots. Love!

    • Thanks Liz. I’ve been wearing this vintage blush every day for the last month. It goes with literally EVERYTHING. So glad I got it πŸ™‚
