Here is another swatchy post, and I am featuring the two limited edition 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes for Mystic Metallics Collection 2013. They are Bonne Etoile (384) and Constellation (864), RM215 each palette. I know, there have been 3 Dior Fall swatch posts back to back, but hey, I want to get the swatches out before they’re sold out! Otherwise, it would be a “Something You Can’t Have” post 🙂
That said, I am a sucker for Fall collections because of the rich earth colours from gold to burgundy. For this collection, I think both palettes offer a beautiful variety that suit people with different tastes. While I love purples, and the gold (top right corner) in Constellation 864 is breathtaking, I find myself drawn to Bonne Etoile 384. The palette is a combination of rich colours that range from taupe to brown to greens. It is a beautiful family of colours in one palette that took my breath away.
I am lucky to be able to take a photo of these testers, brand new. The SAs haven’t even finished taking stock and I asked to photograph these untouched, so you can see them in their full glory. One of the perks being friendly to the SAs. LOL! Naturally they are not in their normal blue case but hey, we all know what they look like. The stars do not look childish but they did grab the attention of both my toddlers. Chloe and Ashlyn both ooh-ed and aah-ed at the palettes, and I used their arms to swatch the colours. Naturally, their favourites are the sparkly ones and they danced with joy, literally, at the mall.
Below are the swatches of both the palettes. Constellation looks like a really safe palette, and Bonne Etoile has THAT bluish green (the one in the middle of the swatch row)! It’s absolutely gorgeous, and the photos don’t do them justice. I took them at the Dior counter, fluorescent lighting, no flash.
Oh, and guess what? I bought Bonne Etoile as a birthday present for myself 🙂 Have you checked out this collection yet? There are cream eye shadows and beautiful lip products. Of course, there’s a whole range of new blushes too, and I’m glad they’re permanent. I might have a crush on 2 of their shades, New Red and Reddissimo, but I’ll take my time.
