Apply Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream For Soft Non-Oily Hands

My hands have been good to me. They didn’t start feeling dry until recently, and I’m already in my mid-30s. I might have to thank my sometimes sweaty hands, but ageing is inevitable. My hands feel especially dry when I’m in the office, thanks and no thanks to the air conditioning. I used to swear by L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream because it was rich enough to keep my hands comfortable, and it still does. However, Clarins gave me a very different experience and meaning to hand creams.

clarins hand and nail treatment cream

When I read the above description on the box, I was a little skeptical about the non sticky part. Nearly all hand creams I’ve tried say that, and they’re ALL sticky to a certain degree, even with my old time fave L’Occitane. When I first applied this, I was surprised that it does what it claims! There is a soothing flowery powdery scent to this hand cream, and it absorbs into the skin leaving my skin feel like, well, skin. There is no residue at all, my hands instantly feel comfortable. Do you notice how it feels when you wash your hands after hand cream application? It’s like washing away the cream right? When it comes to this Clarins one, it just feels like everything’s been absorbed, and I’m just washing my hands without the cream. I don’t know a more eloquent way to put this. LOL!

tube texture

It is easy to squeeze out the hand cream and while the texture is thick, creamy and emolient, my hands don’t feel greasy at all. This is the part I’m so excited about. I’ve been using this for a few months now, and it’s become my morning routine at work. I get to work, apply my hand cream before starting to work. After I wash my hands and if my hands feel dry, I’ll apply this hand cream again. It doesn’t make my keyboard all greasy nor do I have to wait for it to dry down.

Here’s the list of ingredients in case you’re interested:

My hands feel much better after I apply this, but that’s all it does. My hands still feel dry if I didn’t apply it. So, while it claims to be a hand and nail treatment, I find it only offers comfort instead of treating them, if you know what I mean. Still, I think it does a good job and I prefer to use a hand cream that offers me total comfort rather than something that makes my hands feel all greasy.

Have you tried this? It’s pretty good stuff. It’s available at all Clarins counter nationwide, and if I’m not mistaken, it’s around the range of RM75-RM80. If you know the exact price, please let me know 🙂

xoxo Lily

  • My HG hand cream, which considering I don’t use any at the best of times is quite something! 🙂 The Biotherm one isn’t bad too. But I still prefer this one.

    • I remember reading your review! I really love this. Will definitely repurchase 🙂

  • Paris likes this one too and it’s next on my list to try for sure now that you like it too!

    • You have to try it. I wonder if you can test it at the counter before purchasing…

  • Absolutely wonderful! My all time favorite hand cream. Very moisturizing without being heavy and greasy and a beautiful fragrance as well.

    • I’m glad you love it too Emma <3

  • Love it – moisturizing without the greasy feeling after – try the body lotion too!

    • Body lotion? Can you tell me what it’s called?

  • Hey Lily, oh joy. My hands have ALWAYS been dry and I don’t want to think about how they’ll be in 5 years’ time! I’ve been meaning to try this one. The hand cream that I use when I’m working is Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream. It is lightweight yet effective. The Aesop ones are good, too. Once I run out of these I’ll take a look at this one!

    • Caudalie is really pricey here. Maybe I should try getting it online. Seems like it has lots of good stuff 🙂

  • liyeun

Oh I am still searching for my HG hand cream, sadly. I have tried the one u also used from loccitane but it is just not enough for me. That serious! *cries*
I have the foot cream from clarins and it doesnt do much for my dry feet too. I doubt this can work for me, but I cant lose faith for that everlasting search, I guess….. *tsk tsk*

    • Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that! I hope you’ll find one rich enough for you. Then perhaps you can let me know what works for really dry skin 🙂

  • It’s so hard to find a good hand cream that moisturizes AND isn’t greasy, I completely agree.

    • It’s hard but not impossible because this is it 🙂

  • I always have dry hands too! I honestly don’t know what to do. I just buy loads of hand cremes and make sure I always have one around.. Dream Cream seems to be the best one for me, I apply it every night and see considerable changes.

    • When I was in Australia, I came across a Gardener’s hand balm at Myer shopping mall. That one did wonders. Crazy oily for me but my Mom loved it.

  • Liz

LOL, I’ve been pushing Clarins for months but didn’t know they had a hand cream and that it was this good. BUT OF COURSE THEY DO. 🙂

I don’t mind a bit of slip from hand creams though. Makes me feel like the barrier is intact!

    • I can’t use hand cream with too much slip due to my sweaty hands. Feels disgusting! Haha!

  • Oh Lily this is one of my all time favorites! I wonder if they’ve changed the formula since it now claims to minimize age spots which it didn’t before. I should repurchase since I love the big tube. Like Sunny, I love Caudalie. Light pleasant fragrance, super moisturizing and non greasy. Hmm I think I should own both at all times! 🙂

    • You like the Caudalie one too? I have to try that one day 🙂

  • i’ve never tried this but i feel like i should! 🙂

    • Haha! Go try it at the store before you buy. Lol!

  • Bugs

Try using it on your feet ^_^, if u have dry feet like mine. U would love it even more as when no other foot cream or crack heels cream is of any help.

    • Really? Oh thanks for the tip. I’ll have to try it one day 🙂
