BLUES! Today, we’ll be playing with blues. I created 2 looks for you today, one is more dramatic than the other, and I hope you’ll like them 🙂
For the face, I used Chanel Vitalumiere Hydra in B10 before setting it with powder. I don’t really like this cream foundation because it sits on top of my skin and just looks really unnatural. I had to warm my hands and pat my face so that the product will sink in. I tried applying it with my fingers, and also buffing it in with my brush. My skin doesn’t like it. Tarte Frisky is a pigmented bright pink, and I needed to make sure I use a fluffy brush so I won’t have super flushed cheeks.
For the first look, I used MAC Vanilla (cracks due to rough depotting) to highlight my brow bones, Coquette (dropped the bugger. I’m clumsy) to fill in my brows and Tempting on my lids. These are the few MAC eye shadows I’m keeping. Tempting has great texture, Vanilla is great to highlight brows and Coquette is the perfect shade for my brows! I then used a blue from Dior Bleu de Paris palette to line my lash lines. Blue makes eyes look whiter, and it complements bronzes very well. Here’s how it looks.
For a more dramatic look, I used Dior Fusion Cosmos* as a base, then Dior Bleu de Paris* on my eyes. I might have used Coquette on the hollow of my eye socket, but I can’t remember if I did >_< Erm and yeah, I know you guys with super sharp eyes will notice – I de-potted some Dior eye palettes as well. I’m reckless, I know! A large Z palette can hold 8 Dior palettes, in case you were wondering. Heh.
(Numbering is in the photo above, Bleu de Paris palette) 1 is used on the lids on top of Cosmos, then I darkened the outer corners with 2, and lined the lashes with 3. Using 4, I just pat this at the centre of my lids. Here’s how it looks:
Oh, on the lips, I used Dior lipstick in Tulip Pink. How do you like these looks? Which one do you like better? I find that blue eye shadows make the brown in my eyes show up better. I can work with these blues, but some shades of blue look muddy and ashy on me. This Dior palette is the only blue palette that works well on me. Do you wear blue eye shadows? Did I manage to pull it off?
