Review: Clinique Cheek Pop in Plum Pop

It’s Spring time at Clinique. For 2014, Clinique introduces Now In Bloom: Brights. It is a colourful collection with 4 different products. We have cute blushes looking like daisies, Chubby Sticks in more moisturizing formula, mascara and nail polishes. Today, we talk about blush. Cheek Pop in Plum Pop.

Pop Plum 1

I’ve said before that one of my favourite flowers is Gerbera Daisies, didn’t I? I remember it was this post. So imagine my reaction when I saw this!!!

I went crazy over all of them. I was sent Plum Pop for review, and let me tell you right now. If you haven’t tried this, you gotta try it. If you’re a blush fiend, get all of them already. At RM80 a Pop, literally (LOL!), these are affordable good quality blushes. The texture is beautiful and easy to work with, goes on smoothly without kicking up excess powder (quite hard to touch in the pan though) and the blush, when applied, looks like second skin. I’m gushing and raving, aren’t I? Look at how cute it is – here’s for size 🙂

I don’t usually get so friggin’ excited, but these are super adorable!! Here’s the mandatory swatch. As you can see, Plum Pop is a little on the cool side (against my yellow skin) and it is not super pigmented. Brushes – both dense and fluffy ones – pick up the powder just fine, and it goes on the cheeks smoothly without the need of heavy blending.

I wanted to show you a freshly applied blush on my face, but I decided to show you how well it holds up on my normal combination skin. Here is a picture of the blush on me after about 5 hours. Side views aren’t very flattering, because my freckles are so in your face, so excuse me.

Plum Pop, besides having cool undertones, actually looks quite natural on. And the lasting power? “Daebak!” Awesome 🙂 Tiffany also loves her Plum Pop and she just reviewed it here. Plum Pop looks more pink on my skin, doesn’t it? Guess who’s going to get the other 3??
