Long lasting liquid lipstick with high gloss formula? I’m in! The Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquers are permanent, so I can take my time collecting them. I guess that already says I really really like them?
I was at one time, searching for the perfect deep blood red. Some were too brown, some were too plummy, I couldn’t find one that fits my mental picture perfectly, until this. Ruby Glow. I fell in love with the colour and the texture, and I had to get a more wearable one. So, Liquid Petal came home with me as well. The applicator is a firm paddle shaped sponge. I find it very easy to control, and using the nipped tip, I could even line my lips.
Liquid Petal is a neutral rose while Ruby Glow is a vampy red with slight shimmer (not noticeable when worn). In the lip swatches below, I applied it using only the applicator. It is always tricky to create a good shape using dark colours such as Ruby Glow, but with this applicator, I find it quite easy. The lip lacquers are not sticky, but there isn’t much slip either. I can wear this for 4 hours without fading, and my lips stay hydrated without flaking. I don’t usually wear my lipsticks beyond 4 hours in real life, because I’d be drinking and eating or snacking, and I like to wipe my mouth clean before reapplying.
Below are the swatches of the rest of the lip lacquers available. I took it using my phone camera, so colour accuracy isn’t 100%. It does show you what colours there are and I’m eyeing that orange one (top row, second from left).
These Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquers are already available at all Estee Lauder counters nationwide and I bought these at RM80 each. Which one caught your eye?
