I decided to pull out my MAC Fabulously Festive Face Kit in warm, to give it a go before deciding to part ways with it. These photos were taken before Chinese New Year, and after much delay, I am posting it now. Reason? Well, I have parted ways with this palette so this is like the last hurrah. I actually like this palette, don’t get me wrong, but I do have a lot of similar shades and this palette deserves more love with the new owner. If she’s reading this, I hope she’ll find some inspiration with this look I created.
I like that there are 4 eye shadows and a blush in this palette. Omega is great for filling in the brows (or crease) and Soft Brown is a great lid and crease colour as well. I’d use Carbon for lining my eyes, and Golden Flurry is best for lid colour. For this look, I used Golden Flurry on my mobile lids, Soft Brown on the crease, Omega on the outer corner and Carbon to line my eyes. I also filled in my brows using Omega which I think is quite a natural colour. Seasonal Appeal is run through my cheeks and I finished the look with a natural lip colour. I can’t remember what lipstick I used. Sorry!
On my face, I applied the Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ Foundation to cover up all redness. Otherwise, the orange blush will look really muddy on my face. When I use this foundation, I don’t need any concealers. It’s a high coverage foundation but it’s never cakey.
I hope you liked this look. Bye bye palette!
