Sunday Stash Shopping #22: It’s Been A Clinique Week

Yes, Clinique has stolen my heart. First the daisy imprint Cheek Pop, and then the amazing Black Honey eye shadow, and then the eye primer. Today, I have for you a very simple look that looks very pulled together thanks to the beautiful texture and harmonious colour combination.

I wore pinks in my recent monochrome look, and I was absolutely taken with the pink blush and lips. Both the pinks complemented each other, and for this look, I used Black Honey on my eyes. Basically, I used a black pencil liner to line my upper lash line, smudged it with my pinky then applied Black Honey on top. I also traced Black Honey on my lower lash line, and smudged some black liner on the outer third of the lower lash line before applying mascara.

The other products I used that were not pictured here are:

A very easy look to pull off. I wanted Black Honey to stand out, and smudging the black pencil before applying the eye shadow gives it more dimension and depth. Pairing a darker eye with pink brightens the whole look without being too seriously smokey (if that made sense). I hope you enjoyed this look! I’ve been wearing this combo very often πŸ™‚

Oh my gosh Lily I love it!!! I never would have thought of wearing pink with Black Honey but it works beautifuly with your skin tone! I just might try this in the morning. I also love the idea of the smudged liner but I’ll have to see if I have a black one left since I got rid of most of my crayons.

I tried pairing coral and nude with Black Honey, but it’s just not the same. Pink is the way to go πŸ™‚

LOL I know what you mean. Black Honey is beautiful on its own – don’t have to mix with other colours πŸ™‚

  • So, so, effortlessly pretty! I love the way the pink cheeks+lips contrast and bring out the sultry warmth of the eyeshadow. Not at all surprised you’re wearing this look often — it’s optimally flattering on you!

What a pretty look! I just purchased one of the new Clinique blushes. I haven’t tried it yet, because I need to take pics before I use it lol. #bbloggerproblems I am thinking I need to grab the Black Honey shadow. I love shades like that!

    • Lily

Thanks Amber πŸ™‚ Black Honey shadow is great. And yes, I know what bblogger problems you mean. I sometimes take photos of used products – I’m sure readers appreciate some love of the product too. LOL!

  • Oh hey, Black Honey looks really good on you! It’s also A LOT less reddish than I thought it is! Gorgeous look, Lily!

LOOKING GOOD, FRIEND. Clever combination! Love that shadow job!

    • Lily

      Thanks Liz <3

  • Love the eye makeup! It looks multi-dimensional to think about you only used a black pencil and a single shade of eye shadow. πŸ™‚

I know right? And it’s so easy to do πŸ™‚

  • TracyBeautyReflections

  • I love it! And the Black Honey looks gorgeous on you and with this look overall, I might have to go and check it out! I have the Super Strawberry too, I’m on my 2nd one, I really like it, it just seems quite versatile, a pop of colour but not too over the top. xx

    • Lily

Super Strawberry goes very well with Plum Pop. Together with Black Honey, they’re my favourite combo!

  • Woohooo the cheek pops getting a lot of use, I like it! Love this look on you, and I would’ve never thought to pair a shade like Black Honey with warm colors. The effect is gorgeous though, must give that a try soon. Happy Sunday!

    • Lily

Hey MM! Yes, have to try this combo πŸ™‚ I think it’s the slight red undertones of Black Honey paired with the warm pinks of Plum Pop and Super Strawberry. These 3 products when combined are a killer!

  • Victoria
