I was just thinking of what to write, and I was tagged by the beautiful Shari to answer these few questions! There are a few tricky questions which are impossible to answer, but I’ll try my best. Do check out Shari’s answers too.
You have to get rid of all of your foundations and only keep one high-end and one drugstore, which do you keep?
The first question already caught me. I don’t like drugstore foundations because of the limited shade range. I can never find a shade that matches me perfectly, and I’m very fussy about finding the right match. Am I a foundation snob? That might be an easier question to answer because yes I am! And which beauty blogger has just one foundation? See how this is impossible to answer???
Rant aside, I think I’ll keep my RMK Liquid Foundation. It is by far the most forgiving foundation I’ve tried. For drugstore, I’d go with Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation just because the shade matches me most. The foundation itself didn’t impress me that much. Which brings me to….. I’d swap this one out for By Terry Densilis foundation. A friend of mine gave me a sample of hers (we are foundation twins when it comes to shade match) and it was love at first application!
You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?
This is a live or die situation, really. If I told her and she’s a sensitive biatch, she’d fail my interview. If I didn’t tell her and she found out later, I might also die for letting her look like that the entire time. However, I personally would want someone to tell me as soon as possible, so I’d do that too. I’d pull her aside BEFORE the interview starts (there are usually at least 2 interviewers in my experience), let her know gently and then begin the interview like nothing happened. And pray for the best. If I noticed it in the middle of an interview, I’d ignore it completely! Imagine that! “Oh, where do I see myself 5 years from now? Erm, I think I’ll be sitting where you are without lipstick on my teeth”
You’re not feeling yourself and you need a pick-me-up lipstick, which do you go for?
I would go for something bold to make myself feel powerful again. Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Color in Crushed Plum. Enough said.
You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair or makeup differently?
I was in an all girls school and the rules were strict. There were only a few ways we could do our hair and absolutely no makeup. When I was a teenager, all I did was to go to school, extra classes, piano lessons, ballet lessons and just stayed at home to chill out. Needless to say, my hair was always in a pony tail. I didn’t discover makeup until my first pregnancy… so erm yeah. Late bloomer here. I won’t change anything though!
B) Cry in the chair and things get awkward
C) Complain to the manager and demand a refund
Oh my gosh, I would totally freak out. I don’t think I’d look good in a pixie cut. I would probably give the hairdresser a piece of my mind and never go back again! I would quietly cry in my heart, and when I walked out, I’d call my mom and cry hysterically. So, a mixture of A, B and C. LOL!
Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have one hour to pack, which ‘Do It All’ palette do you pack in your makeup bag?
This I have to think. I’d probably bring… Bobbi Brown Amnesia Rose palette. It has basic eye shadows that aren’t neutral and 2 shades of pot rouge that I can double up as blush and lipstick.
B) Ask them to re-purchase it
C) Secretly do it back to their makeup
