Review: Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum

Antipodes skin care has a lot of good surprises. So far, my foray into this brand has been a positive one, except for that one serum because the rosehip oil broke me out. Their Saviour Skin Balm remains a household staple, especially for my 4 month old. I have purchased their cleansing balm recently, and it is still in my vanity, unopened, but many have raved about how good it is. I can’t wait to open it!

Antipodes Worship usage

Recently, Antipodes released a brand new serum called Worship. It is water based with very high concentration of plant-active ingredients to deliver potent results to the deeper layers of our skin. I am actually really happy this isn’t another oil based serum so I was really excited to try it. For the past month, I have been using this daily and nightly and I really enjoy it. “Worship” is infused with a powerful cocktail of super antioxidant fruit extracts including raspberry, boysenberry, blackcurrant, acai berry, coffee berry,  kiwi fruit and Antipodes’ trademark Vinanza grape seed extract. Everything seems berry to me, from the colour of the serum to the scent of it. I love my berries, so I don’t mind it at all!

Let me first tell you that this serum feels like water indeed. It is completely oil free, and the serum is absorbed into my face in seconds, literally. Once it is absorbed, my skin feels tighter, as if I used an astringent. I usually follow this with moisturizer, and skin feels more comfortable after that. This serum provides antioxidant protection for the skin against UV and environmental free radical damage, the main cause of “pre-mature” skin aging. I cannot attest to any anti aging properties, but I can tell you my skin feels more hydrated and supple. My face looks brighter and smoother, but it might be due to a concoction of lotions and potions.

Worship serum Worship serum ingredients

The Antipodes Worship serum is available since 1 April 2015, selling for RM179. You can get it at The TNS Skin Lab and if there’s none near you, there is always online shopping (non affiliated). Have you tried any Antipodes products? If you’re looking for a super lightweight serum that starts you off with some berry goodness, do give Worship a try. I really like it so far 🙂

  • Oh!!! I like the sounds of this a lot!! I’m going to get it for sure! Thanks for the heads up Lily!

    • Lily

I hope you like it Tracy. It literally feels like nothing on the skin, but smoother and brighter after a few weeks

  • Emma Bovary

This sounds really interesting. I love the cleansing butter from this range, really nice!

    • Lily

The cleansing butter is still sitting in my cupboard, and I need to break it open soon! I hope you’ll give this a try, Emma. If you love berries, you’ll love this 🙂

  • Hey Lily, Antipodes for me is a bit of a hit and miss kind of brand, but I’m glad to hear you like this! If I can lay my hands on a sample sachet, I’ll try it out 🙂

    • Lily

So far, Antipodes has been pretty positive on me. I quite like their eye cream too 🙂

  • I’m with Sunny, Antipodes is hit or miss for me, but this one definitely sounds like a hit! I’ll put it on the ‘to remember’ list 🙂

    • Lily

I hope you get to try it out, Melissa 🙂

  • I’m always interested in new serums! But I think this brand is hard for us to find here.

    • Lily

Beauty Bay has it, and it offers free worldwide shipping!

  • This sounds so good! I love how the description matches the ingredients list. So many brands are all just hype.

    • Lily

Some product descriptions are extremely exaggerated but this is pretty good so far 🙂

  • Liz

I can’t with the berries, lol. I’m so slow with serums that it’s hard to commit to a bottle, and I’m fine with the Vichy hydrating one. Innisfree green tea seed is also very good and comparable to the Vichy. I love it when products talk about antioxidants though – sounds so good.

    • Lily

It sounds good, and for some reason, maybe with the concoction of a few serums, my face seems to love it too. I’m more of a serum junkie so give me all serums! LOL.

  • I’ve been seeing Antipodes around lately… but ive never tried anything. Putting this on the list now for future! Thanks for the introduction!

    • Lily

You’re welcome, Linda. This is still a new serum, and the texture is definitely an interesting one. Not a drop of oil in it – just like water.

  • Antipodes Scientific Organic B

Thanks for sharing the love of Antipodes Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum Lily. #lovethearoha

    • Azie

Does worship protects from both IVA and UVB as well? Means I can skip the sunscreen?

      • Lily

Oh, I never skip sunscreen no matter what, even if the serum or oil or whatever it is I’m using says it protects against aggression from the sun. I ALWAYS wear sunscreen.

        • Azie

Would you mind to recommend some good sunscreen with SPF 50 and PA +++ that best suits sensitive and acne prone skin?

          • Lily

Hi Azie, I’m not sure what’s good for acne prone skin, because mine isn’t. I read some positive reviews from readers regarding my favourite Shiseido Wet Force sunscreen and they said it didn’t break them out. So maybe you want to try that?

            • Azie

              Thank you dear Lily 😊

              • Lily

                You’re welcome!
