Review: Biotherm Aquasource and Blue Therapy Serum-in-Oil

Do you remember how I raved about the Biotherm Life Plankton Essence? It immediately put Biotherm on my radar! Today, I have 2 more products to show you, and again, I”m impressed! Aquasource (RM149) is a very light gel moisturizer and it’s a must if your skin needs an instant H2O boost. The Blue Therapy Serum-in-Oil (RM295) is very interesting. Let me just say that it’s a delightful surprise!

Biotherm

First, can I just say that so far, the Biotherm products I’ve tried are like spa on my face? Aquasource increased my skin’s hydration level and there are no flakes whatsoever in sight. I usually flake around my nose, just because I have this really horrible habit of squeezing it, but (fingers crossed!) it’s been ok! The moisturizer has an initial sharp citrusy scent so if you have a fussy nose, you might want to take a sniff first. The scent dissipates very quickly though. I use it every day and night, and this lightweight moisturizer has been heavenly. It absorbs into skin almost immediately, and the slight cooling sensation is a welcome in this hot weather. It cools down my skin and calms down the redness I have around the center of my face as well.

The Blue Therapy Serum-in-oil has a a soothing white flower scent. It is a very interesting combination of anti aging serum and face oil. Now, I was a little skeptical when I first tried this. My face has a tendency to break out from oils, but guess what? I was just being silly! Not only did I NOT experience any breakout, my skin feels so much smoother without any oiliness. I was expecting it to be oily or sticky, but none of that. If I had to nitpick though, there is the slightest dewiness on the face after applying, but hey, I’ve been loving the dewy effect lately, so all the better! This is such a great product for face oil beginners or skeptics like me. OR… if you’re lazy to apply a serum THEN a face oil, this is a 2 in 1 product that kicks ass.

This, in my opinion, is a killer duo for smoother, younger, hydrated skin. Add the life plankton essence and you’ll get a triple threat. I’ve been using this triple threat nightly, and dare I say my skin is looking GLOWY. Just from these 3 products, Biotherm is now on my LOVE list. However, there should be something I don’t like, right? I am curious about their eye cream, sunscreen and maybe one of their tinted products. I’m going to have to try them one day. Below are the ingredients if you’re interested. The ingredients for the serum-in-oil is on top while the Aquasource is at the bottom.

Have you tried any of this stuff? Do you need another push? They’re good stuff!
