Sunday Stash Shopping #53: Urban Decay Naked 2

Oops, today’s stash shopping is up a little late, but better than never eh? This is going to be short and sweet, so let’s get to it! I have been neglecting many of my eye palettes for a while, and one of them is the Naked 2. I bought it because I loved taupes and cooler browns, and it just so happened, I never really used it. Seems to be the story of my life. And now that I have, I am reminded why I liked this palette. I’ll be using more of it.

On my lids, I used Tease as a transition color, Suspect on my mobile lids and Snakebite on the outer corner. I paired it with a peachy blush, Clinique’s Sculptionary Cheek Contouring Palette in 01 Defining Nectars, and Dior Garden Party on my lips. Here’s how the eyes look

And the full look in context

I hope you liked today’s installment and Happy Sunday!

Would you like more looks from Naked 2? Or perhaps a color you’d like to see used on the eyes? No tough ones please!

xoxo Lily

Great combo, Lily! I really should try to give some love to my Naked and Naked 2 palettes, too! 🙂 I bet they’ve been sitting and crying quietly in the back of my drawer for some time now. LOL. I don’t remember the last time I used them! Naked 3 has been getting all my love lately!

    • Lily

Hi Jaa, there was a time when I used the Naked palette every day! Don’t know what happened since then 🙂 I don’t have the Naked3 palette, but you’re making me curious. I didn’t buy it mainly because of the hype, and I thought pink wouldn’t look good on my eyes.

  • Hey Lily, I think Naked 2 was the last big palette I ever bought because that’s when I realized I just don’t use them very often! I still travel with either Naked or Naked 2, and I like to run the darker shades over my lower lash line sometimes, but that’s about it! Definitely like the combo tho! I am still not in love with Rouge Dior Baume. The shade I tried from the spring collection is better than the first I got, but still. It wasn’t love at first sight or anything like that!

    • Lily

I like this Dior Garden Party. It’s rosy but natural enough (read sheer!). When I travel, I always go with my Unii palette with the Naked eye shadows and blush. It’s just a no brainer – from daytime wear to an evening out!

  • Bella

Such a pretty eye look! I have the first two Naked palettes and I never use either of them, when I am not really averse to palette use. The packaging is so cheap and nasty it puts me right off; I’m as shallow as that. Same story with Lorac Pro.

    • Lily

LOL Bella, you made me laugh! So what happened to your Naked palettes?

      • Bella

I still have all three of the above….I just really really never use them.

        • Lily

Hahaha! Well, in that case, you can always give it to friends or relatives who will appreciate them 🙂

  • Haha, that really happens, doesn’t it? We have a brilliant palette but we forget about it, and then we fall in love all over again 😛 I like smaller palettes, in general, but sometimes it’s hard to find one that has the colors that I want. I think I might make a customized one at some point, but eh, not really a priority right now 😛

    • Lily

You can have a customized palette… OR you can depot the eye shadow you like and put them all in one palette 🙂

  • No, I like the look as it is, Lily!
And I think I like the idea of NAKED 2 much better now ever since the the Smoky (smokey?) one came out. LOL

    I missed out on your previous post, but I hope you’re feeling much better now. I’ve gone through something like that when I first started practicing hot yoga intensively. It is a grueling workout (not relaxation) so at some point I must have clutched my jaw to tight or something (I’m a competitive person. LOL), then I wasn’t able to chew things properly for a week. Haha ^-^;;;

    • Lily

Hey Lena, thanks I’m feeling much better now. I’ve heard a lot about hot yoga but there’s only one place that offers classes here in my town and they’re always packed. I’m sorry to hear about your jaw and I can imagine how that happened, but I’m more sorry I laughed. Hehehe 🙂

  • Nice! I gotta give my Naked 2 some love. I just find I don’t use palettes all that often for some reason, so I just won’t really buy anymore of them. That Clinique blush is really pretty though! I keep looking at them, but ugh-too many blushes over here haha!

    • Lily

I know what you mean Tracy. Too many blushes. LOL!

  • So pretty! I love Snakebite, and it looks great in the outer corner in your look. I definitely use Naked 1 more, but Naked 2 has so many lovely shadows. YDK is a huge favorite for me!

    • Lily

I used Naked1 more too! But nowadays, I use cream shadows more!

  • Emma Bovary

I love this eye look on you! I forgot about Naked 2 for quite some time but then I rediscovered it and have been loving it this year. I would love to see you use Verve in a makeup look – it’s probably my favourite shadow from the palette but I think it can be a tricky one and I’d love to see how you make it wearable 🙂

    • Lily

Verve. Ok got it. I can’t even remember what Verve looks like. Need to go back to the palette. Lol!

  • I have the same problems with my palettes! I use them a few times just after buying, and then forget about them :/
I don’t own the Naked 2, just the original, and I haven’t used it for months. I really like the look you did here, it’s very simple but super flattering!

    • Lily

Haha it’s an illness. And we keep buying more right? Lol! But I’ve been good. No palettes for a while now. I love the first Naked palette. And that’s why I got this second one. But by the 3rd one, they started looking the same even though they’re not. Heh

  • Liz

I was thinking of getting Naked2 for fall but after my eye shadow inventory… nope, don’t need any more. Any more ANYTHING. @____@ It’s a really nice palette though and you wear it well!

    • Lily

Haha I totally understand. I’ve been debating whether or not to let this go too!
