Review: Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Mask and Eye Balm

The full name of the products I’m going to talk about are Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Mask Boost (RM300) and Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Eye Balm (RM240). I talked about the moisturizer before, so I’m happy to introduce to you another 2 in the Revitalizing Supreme collection. These are not exactly brand new, since they’ve been in the market for a few months now, but I had to test out the products properly before telling you about it. And you know what? If you are above 35 years old, you WILL appreciate these products.

EL Revitalizing Supreme

First, I’d like to talk about the eye balm. It’s actually a cream, so it’s a little strange it is called balm. I’ve been using Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Eye, and found that it’s not enough for the area around my eyes anymore. Not at night anyway. I sleep in an air conditioned room, and I noticed the area around my eyes got drier, and rather crepey. I was in the car as a passenger, nothing to do, so I started scrutinizing the fine lines. I thought, Darn, I need a richer eye cream. And KAPOW! When I got home, a package was waiting for me and there was this eye cream. Man, talk about bloody perfect timing. I tried it immediately, and I could feel my eyes go “Aaaaaahhhh, we’re not thirsty anymore”. I’ve been using it for more than a month now, and the area around my eyes is noticeably smoother, even though the lines are still there. The area is more plump and I don’t feel the tightness I used to feel. My only gripe with this product is the micro shimmer. I understand that they want to give us an ILLUSION of brighter eyes, but guys, in my most humble opinion, shimmers have NO PLACE in skincare at all. The price is reasonable market rate, and it would be perfect if it has no shimmers.

Now the mask. I use this 3 times a week, as recommended, apply over clean face, leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, tissue off, and proceed with the rest of your skincare. Can I just say, this is comparable to the La Mer Intensive Revitalizing Mask only more affordable? Yes, believe me. Skin looks more rested (when I actually don’t have enough sleep), just simply more luminous. I have different masks to target different concerns and since I’m low on the La Mer mask, I’m glad this can easily replace it. I can also easily repurchase this when I’ve run out! I sometimes just leave the mask on when it doesn’t feel sticky, apply a face oil on top and call it a night. I wake up to softer skin, all plump and ready to take on another day. Again though, this mask does not need any shimmer particles. There is no need for it, because this mask DOES what it claims to do without having the shimmers to boost a brighter appearance.

The mask is on the left, and the eye balm on the right. The mask is much thicker and doesn’t absorb as quickly, while the eye balm goes on smoothly without the feels of silicones. That, I appreciate. I’d say well done, Estee Lauder. I love this MORE than the ANR Eye! So yes, I will be purchasing this again, mark my words. In short, I’m loving these 2, just not the shimmer particles. They do bother me when I see traces of them on my hands but because they work so well, I’ll overlook it. You can purchase it from the Estee Lauder website and they’d deliver to you for free if your purchase is RM250 and above.

Have you guys tried any of these before? What do you feel about skincare and shimmers?

xoxo Lily
