Less words, more pictures! This collection is available since 1st of this month so you might have tried them yourself already. If you’re not in Malaysia, you might already have this since last month. Oh before you continue to swatches and mini reviews, please note… picture heavy!
Here are some of the things I have. If at a glance, nothing impresses you, I urge you to try the powders. I tried the nail polish (RM125) first, and they’re cute, a pair of complementary colors with a dotting tool to play with. I realized I’m not that uncoordinated after all. That, or it’s just very easy to make dots. Hhmmm…
The lip products are great, just as I expected from Dior. The Milky Tint (RM120) is very light and it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy. Dior Addict in Appeal (RM115) is very sheer though.
The eye shadow palette (RM265) is a little underwhelming while the fluid shadow (RM119) is something to look at. The liquid eye shadow does not budge on my lids. It’s quite impressive! It’s also easier to apply than I thought. Instead of applying it straight from the wand, I place some product at the back of my hand and then apply it onto my lids using either my finger or a brush. Works great both ways.
Now the powders. They don’t look impressive. Summer Glow (RM225) looks like very shimmery loose power and Nude Glow (RM248) is just a pretty lilac compact. So what? Look at the swatch. I wouldn’t look at it twice. On the face however, it’s a completely different story. Summer Glow adds a sheen of golden peachy warmth to my face, without looking fake or shimmery at all. On medium skin, it brings a glow to the complexion. I tested it on Ashlyn so I know it looks gorgeous! I don’t apply using the puff though. I use a blush brush and apply it across my cheeks and nose. Nude Glow in 025 Fresh Rose is a highlighter with flashes of lilac. I haven’t seen anything like it to be honest. They’re a beautiful combo!
I wish the photos translate the beauty, but I just can’t capture it no matter how hard I tried. Here are 2 photos using the eye palette and powders, and Milky Peach. The first one is taken in natural light. You can’t see the powders in action at all. You can see some warmth but not that glow. The next is taken in low light, in front of my vanity. You can see something, but not much. You can head on to my Instagram for that photo which looks more obvious. You can also see the nail polish in action.
Have you tried anything from this collection? Trust me on this one. Try the powders ON YOUR FACE and tell me what you think!
