Review: Dior Hydra Life Jelly Sleeping Mask

Dior came up with its first ever night mask in its Hydra Life range. It’s a Jelly Sleeping Mask (RM350) and if you’re familiar with Korean skincare (which inspired Dior to create this mask in the first place), you’d be no stranger to this mask. It seems like the Western brands have been really cashing in on catching up with Korean skincare trends. For many of us in Asia, we sense that this is kind of overdue, but better late than never. From experience, many Korean brands tend to be more affordable as well but if we were to compare Western and Korean luxury brands, the price range is similar.

This sleeping mask smells really good, is very lightweight, and the jelly turns into water as I massage it into my skin. It absorbs very easily and doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky. I have tried the ever famous Laneige sleeping pack before, and didn’t like it as much because I remember it took a long while for it to be absorbed and it did feel a little sticky. This Dior Hydra Life Jelly Sleeping Mask promises 8 hours of continuous infused hydration so when we wake up from our slumber, our skin is properly hydrated, supple and radiant. I tend to use richer skincare at night because I sleep in air conditioned room. However when I use this mask, I prefer to use a lighter moisturizer. The sleeping mask is like a protective H2O orb when we sleep – without messing up our pillow cases 🙂

Honestly speaking, the price point is going to be a major deterrent but let’s be real, Dior has never been affordable. There are definitely more options out there that are kinder to your wallet but if you’re a Dior fan, then this is worth a try. The texture is lovely, not to mention the heavenly smell and waking up to soft plump skin.
