Except for the Dior Lip Glow in Lilac, the rest of the things I used for this look are from MAC and they are old stuff I bought. They are in one of my customized palettes, and I thought of taking them out for a spin. Truthfully, I’m also trying to decide whether to keep or to throw. It seems wasteful to throw it out, but it’s also difficult to give them to a friend, since they are depotted. Sigh. Anyway.
As you can see, I’m still using Chamomile as brow highlight. There’s an obvious dip in the pan and I’d like to hit pan one day. It’s a very easy shade to use, even though it’s not as creamy as I like. It’s quite powdery, but oh well, it’s just a subtle matte brow highlight. How fussy can I be? I used Satin Taupe on my lids, and Modelette to soften the edges. And always, I use the lid shade on my lower lash line too. I use a small smudge brush to get as close to the lash line as possible so that it doesn’t look too smokey. This balances out my eyes. This step is optional, depending on your eye shape. If you’re blessed with bigger eyes, and more lashes, then you can skip this altogether. I find that this is a step I can’t miss, or my eyes will look top heavy. For this look, I tightlined my eyes with Hourglass 1.5mm mechanical gel liner and finished off with Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara.
Since Satin Taupe gives my eyes a purple-ish hue, I opted for pink cheeks and cool lips. Well Dressed is a light baby pink that doesn’t clash too much on my skin tone.
Simple look, but they go quite well together, don’t they? And on my brows, I think I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in medium brown. I can’t remember. I’m rotating a few at the moment. Hope you liked today’s simple look!
