Sunday Stash Shopping #82: Simple and Uplifting

I didn’t know what to name this look, but that’s what this look does. It is simple, and it brightens the face almost immediately. I didn’t mean to blog about this, mainly because I didn’t take the photos using my good camera. I thought the look turned out nice, and on a whim, I took some photos using my phone. Also, instead of the usual natural light, I actually took them in front of my vanity, using the fluorescent light. Not the most flattering, mind you, and it wasn’t as bright, hence the weird shadows and blurred out features as well. And that, my friends, is why I’d never blog using my phone. LOL!

I was actually sitting at home the whole day, and suddenly I had to get ready in 15 minutes to go out for a dinner. I barely had enough time to change (just pulled on a pair of jeans) let alone prepping my face properly. So, I misted my face using this Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist before applying Bobbi Brown Illuminating Face Base. This base makes my face less dry but not oily either. It does eliminate some dullness from my skin and it’s enough as a pick me up without foundation. I quickly applied some Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Concealer under my eyes and blended out some of the YSL Baby Doll Kiss and Blush lip and cheek tint on my cheeks. This is in shade 04 Orange Fougueux. It applies beautifully and the bright orange gives my complexion an instant boost in radiance! I finished off this look with Shiseido Perfect Rouge in Sublime. Not pictured here are mascara and brow pencil. As usual, my go to is Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara and Shu Uemura H9 brow pencil in Stone Grey. Here’s how they all look on me.

I stretched my 15 minutes to the max before running out the door. The mister was already waiting in the car counting the seconds. What pressure!!

What is your super quick go to look?
