I finally got round to taking some photos wearing the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita. I now understand why people love this palette! If you’re not into very warm browns, then you might want to skip this palette. I love the reddish brown and warm sparkly bronze. The whole color story is right up my alley.
If you need swatches, you can click here to go to my previous post about my mini Cult Beauty purchase. Here, I wear it with NARS Rosecliff on my lips and Canmake Cream Cheek in CL02. I kept the rest of my face muted and clean because the eyes are red enough. I’m wearing Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation here. On my left eye (your right), I left it without the sparkles while my right eye is with the ‘pop’ shade, the glittery bronze. As usual, top left shade all over the lids, then top right reddish brown as lid shade (pulled down to the lower lash line) with bottom right dark brown on the outer corners. Then bottom left, the pop shade, glittery bronze at the center of the lids. I lined my eyes with a brown pencil instead of black to keep the look softer.
The look with the sparkly bronze layered on top is definitely warmer. In real life, the shimmers do make it look more glamorous but not over the top. I’ve been wearing the reddish brown alone, all over the lids and brought down to the lower lash line. It’s not too warm against my skin tone, but I can imagine it looking more red on others.
Do you wear warm browns? I’m still trying to hunt down Chanel’s Candeur et Experience but it’s sold out in Malaysia. Hope you liked today’s look. Also, I’ve been obsessed with soft comfortable shirts. It’s so hot here, I pair it with a pair of shorts. I have these sorts of shirts in checks, plain white, khaki green, stripes… looks slightly dressier than cotton T shirts and so comfortable. I usually get mine from H&M. Affordable and lots of options.
Here’s wishing you a good weekend and a great week ahead!
