Sunday Stash Shopping #86: I’m Back, Kind Of

Hello hello everyone!

It’s been a month already and I’m still not ready to come back. I miss you guys so I thought I’d post something and play catch up. I usually post about 3 times a week, and have scheduled ahead for the next week, but after that, I’m just going to take it slowly and post whenever I feel like it. Potty training Ashton wasn’t as bad as I expected, and he’s now diaper free for the day, even during his afternoon nap. I’m not ready to let him go diaper free at night just yet though. He’s been really good, but let me observe him for a while longer 🙂

I’ve had sore throat for 2 weeks now. It comes and goes, but just a few days ago, I caught a cold and cough. Darn it. I’m hoping it’ll go away soon so I can resume my regular activities without sniffing or coughing until I go out of breath.

Anyway, makeup wise, I’ve been playing with this eye placement that I saw in one of Jung Saem Mool’s Youtube videos. Just line half of my eyes for a wider elongated look. I wish I could remember which video it is so I could link it for you, but most of her videos are very helpful anyway so head on over there to binge watch.

I find that this placement is very flattering for us with smaller eyes, and it works for monolids as well. She used a combination of eye shadow and gel liner, but I’m just too lazy and I only used eye shadows. The additional gel liner would give me more definition for sure but I was happy with this hazy finish.

I don’t remember what I used on my eyes but on my lips I was wearing Urban Decay Ex Girlfriend, one of my favourite nudes.

What have you been up to? It’s a long weekend so enjoy your extra day off!

xoxo Lily

Hi L! 🙂 It’s wonderful seeing a post from you. I love learning new techniques (especially eye ones) from JSM. Sometimes though it’s a lot of separate products for something I would think would be as simple as eye lining, but JSM sure makes an art out of it.

It IS a super flattering look on you!

Congrats on the so far smooth potty training. My 1st was SO HARD, but my second was a breeze.

Thank you Belly! JSM makes it look so easy though. A little dab here, a little swirl there and voila, magic!

  • Awww nice to see you back. Even if as sporadic as I do in my blog, lol! I hope your sore throat goes away soon, 2 weeks is a lot! I like the eye look, and I love hazy looks so this is perfect!

Thanks Sofia. Yes it’ll be sporadic after my scheduled posts are all online lol! Oh well, real life trumps blogging though.

  • Welcome back, Lily even though it’s just a ‘kind of’. I definitely missed you but have stalking you on IG as you already know. LOL! I have been wearing my eye liner that way, the Korean way of slightly downwards and only lining half of my lid and with both kohl and eyeshadow. I do skip eyeshadow completely instead wear a bright lipstick and blush to bring life to my face.

Hi Shireen, when I’m in a hurry, I do that too! Skip eye shadow but go for brighter lipstick 🙂

  • Oh I like how this looks! I’ve been quite basic with my eye makeup recently, and this looks like something I could do without messing up.

This is easy and very flattering. I watch JSM’s videos for clever tips!
