Review: Dior Hydra Life Extra Plump Smooth Balm Mask

Dior Hydra Life Extra Plump Smooth Balm Mask (50ml, RM260) has been one of my most used masks the past 2 months. It’s easy to use, and very effective. I want to keep this review short and sweet, because that’s really what this mask is. It gets straight to work, only takes 3 minutes, and skin is so much softer!

Dior Hydra Life Smooth Balm Mask

The Dior Hydra Life smooth balm mask is a new generation 3 minute mask. As you’d expect from the name, the mask nourishes and plumps the skin, and is great especially for those with normal to drier skin. It is highly concentrated in natural pine oil and other nourishing botanical ingredients. The mask is quite rich in texture, but it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. You can use a small amount to apply a thin layer all over your face after cleansing, leave it on for 3 minutes and then apply the rest of your skincare on top of it. Personally, I use 2 serums at night, so with all the layers, my skin feels drowned. So, I apply a thick layer, leave on for 3 minutes and then tissue it off before applying the rest of my skincare.

Because it only takes 3 minutes, I find that I reach for this quite often (2-3 times a week) and my skin is kept smooth and plump. Here are the ingredients if you’re interested.

  • Sounds great! I found that I do not like sheet masks in general and prefer wash off ones like this. Of course, I use different kinds – clarifying, moisturizing, and exfoliating. Your review reminds me that I’m missing a “radiance boosting” one. I will keep this in mind. It’s been a while I used Dior skincare but back then I was using the whole line and really enjoyed it.

I’ve always enjoyed Dior skincare, but they’ve just been getting pricier, especially when our currency is weakening. I keep a plethora of different masks too. I generally prefer wash off ones just because I don’t usually like to leave a lot of layers on my face 🙂

  • This sounds similar to my favourite Sisley mask, leaves on for 5 minutes and my skin really glows! I’ll try this when I’m done with the Sisley one, this might be a touch cheaper or same price.

Sisley is way more expensive! Here, I expect Sisley skincare to be RM500 and above!!

  • I love these kinds of fast, tissue off, instant boost for the skin! Now if only i can get a night off more often!

I sometimes even apply this in the morning before I get into the shower. Just 3 minutes, and then when I apply makeup later, skin is more plump 🙂
