Review: Diorskin Nude BB Cream 002

This is long overdue. I think it’s more than a year overdue. I bought this a while back, and have been using it on and off, but more often lately. I forgot how lovely this is, so I decided to share with you. It’s not new, but some oldies are worth mentioning. They stay permanent for a reason.

When I bought it, there were only 2 variations of this BB cream. There’s 001 which is cooler in tone, more pink, and this one is 002, for warm skin tone. This BB cream is more suited to those with light to perhaps light medium skin. If you’re very fair, then this will be too dull on you, and if you’re medium to dark skin, this will be too light and ashy on you. On me, this is just right. Sometimes when my skin is paler, this one looks dull on me. So I just use another foundation. I’ve been driving about more since Ashton started going to kindergarten and I’m getting more sun. So this one matches for now. For reference, I usually wear the lightest 2 shades of foundations, whichever is warmer. Brands usually carry different undertones for a certain depth and I avoid brands that do not carry warmer shades. I’m looking at you, Guerlain.

This BB cream has a runnier texture compared to the traditional creams. So, it’s good for those with normal to oily skin, and also if you’re like me and live in a hot and humid country, this one holds up well. As a habit, I always powder my T-zone even though I don’t need it when the weather is cooler. Once applied, the BB cream melds and blends into the skin beautifully. It gives a satin finish because it does not finish completely matte, still leaving the slightest glow. I like finishes like this because matte foundations make my skin look flat and I’m way too lazy to add highlighting.

It covers redness and blemishes quite well, and does not emphasise pores. I’d say, this gives a medium coverage, and for extreme dark circles or angry redness, you’ll need a concealer. As you can see in the photo below, it evens out my skin tone and gets rid of my minor panda eyes.

I think I bought it for RM150, but I’m also very sure price has gone up the last couple of years. I’m not sure how much this retails for now, but I just want to share this because I’ve been enjoying this lately.

What base product are you using right now?
