Review: Chanel Le Lift Skin Recovery Sleep Mask

Chanel Le Lift range recently came out with a sleeping mask. It’s called the Chanel Le Lift skin recovery sleep mask (75ml, RM300), for face, neck and decollete. It is to be used after all the your evening skincare. I use it after the last step of my evening routine, which is a rich moisturizer. Before bed, I’d apply a thin layer of this sleep mask all over my face and neck. Chanel promises that upon wakening, wrinkles appear visibly smoothed, skin looks replumped and the complexion more luminous.

The Chanel Le Lift mask is actually a balm in gel texture. It is lightweight and absorbs into the skin without the feeling of tackiness. It takes about a minute or two to truly settle into the skin. So I like to massage my face during that time. This gel mask is enriched with silk proteins, to make the skin soft as a baby bum.

Chanel Le Lift mask

I’ve been using this mask 3 times a week for the last month and I notice my skin looks more refined. I can’t credit the change solely to this mask. With all the skincare that I’ve been using, I notice my skin has been improving, even as I am ageing, turning 40 next year. Recently, I notice my pores appear smaller. Is it the Vitamin C moisturizer I recently used? Is it the serums I’m currently using? Is it the 3 liters of water I’ve been consuming daily? The exercise? It’s really a combination of all the things. One needs to take care of one’s skin. But I also believe this mask plays a part in this big picture. After washing my face in the morning, my face looks brighter and smoother. I’m quite happy with my skin condition so far!

For RM300 per 75ml, the mask is not as expensive as I expected. The tube is fuss free, easy to use, light and portable. Best of all, I like how the mask feels on my face, and what it does to help my skin look smoother. I have normal to slightly dry mature skin and this Chanel Le Lift mask has been kind to me! What mask are you using lately?

  • Just judging by the first 5 ingredients.. the rest of the tube must contain magic. Despite not being “not as expensive” you’re still paying for quite common, inexpensive ingredients (the bulk). I think the improvements must be thanks to some other skincare you’ve used! Still, I’d love to try some of Chanel’s skincare and see if it’s worth the hype. πŸ™‚ Happy Holidays!

The same could be said about Dior skincare, pricey for inexpensive ingredients, but OMG my skin loves it! In Malaysia, and for a brand like Chanel, RM300 is not expensive at all. Most beauty products here are much more expensive than in Western countries for some reason. I wish that wasn’t the case πŸ™ Christmas soon! Hope you got all your shopping done!

      • Well, you gotta use what skin loves. πŸ™‚ If I got Chanel for innexpensive price, I’d try it as well!

  • You’re right, RM300 for a Chanel skincare is actually decent price and good that you saw some improvements too. I don’t think I’ll ever buy this though, I rather stick to normal brands when it comes to skincare, that way I know I’m not paying extra for brand name. I don’t mind when it comes to makeup but skincare I am a bit kiamsiap! LOL!

Yes definitely. You’re also paying for the brand name, and comes with it is probably the reputation they want to uphold.
What masks have you been using lately?

      • Haven’t been using any masks because I work crazy hours since last week! 😭

When I find my schedule really packed and busy, I like to apply a thick layer of mask 10 minutes before I shower. During the 10 minutes, I just go on with whatever I need to do, then I hop into the shower and wash it off. Skin feels great after!

          • That’s actually an amazing idea! Will give that a try!

            • Lily

My lazy sneaky effort to get my mask on. LOL! Did you try?
