All About Warm Colours

It’s been more than a month since I updated my blog. I didn’t even realize it’s been so long! Maybe it’s because I’ve been doing some short and sweet reviews up on Instagram that makes me feel I haven’t really been gone. It’s been a very exciting 10 days for us Malaysian, ever since our 14th general election. I don’t want to get into it, since it’s all politics, but let’s just say that history is forever changed.

Makeup wise, I’ve been obssessed with orange reds. Warm colours. These are the few products I’ve been reaching for and I enjoy using them so much that I’ve only been sporting that one look most of the past month.

Here we have Clinique Cheek Pop in Ginger Pop, Chanel Lip Blush in Orange Explosif, Chanel Rouge Allure Ink in 164 Entusiasta, Chanel Les Beiges Blush Stick in No. 25 and YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Stain in No 1 Rouge Tatouage. I’ve been rotating these products and they go well with each other so it doesn’t matter which blush pairs with which lipstick.

For such bold colours, I keep my base and eyes minimal. I just make sure I cover any redness with concealer, and define the eyes with brow pencil and mascara.

Ah, I also like to use my finger to smudge in the lip colour, going over the lip line ever so slightly to fake a pout. I’d sometimes add a clear lip balm on top to make the pout look more juicy 🙂

This is my go to look lately and I’m not bored yet. Sometimes I’d add some colour on my lids. Sometimes a shimmery peach, sometimes a matte medium brown. What’s your day to day makeup look? I think I had a rose phase a while back. Everything rosy and berry. I guess this time, it’s orange and red 🙂

Hope you’ve been keeping well!
