The Herb Farm vs Antipodes: Mud Masks

Today, I am putting 2 similar masks against each other. One is The Herb Farm Revitalising Face Mask and the other is Antipodes Halo Skin-Brightening Facial Mud Mask. Both can be purchased at TNS Skin Lab, online and in stores.

Both of these are mud masks. However, they are marketed and perform differently. The Herb Farm Revitalising Face Mask removes impurities, softens the skin, detoxifies and hydrates. The Antipodes Halo detoxifies and brightens. Let’s talk about the Halo first. It is the latest release from Antipodes and has been gaining traction on social media. It is quite a thick mask and I find that it is best applied on slightly damp skin. I leave it on for 15 minutes then wash it off. I do notice an immediate brightening of the skin, but it dries out my normal to dry skin. I thought maybe it was due to my skin condition that day, so I have kept using this once a week. Every time, after I wash off this mask, I feel a dire need to moisturise my face. That is not the case for The Herb Farm Revitalising Face Mask.

The Revitalising Face Mask is the underdog here. It is very gentle on my skin. I notice my skin is brighter, cleaner (less blackheads), and more plump after use. My skin feels comfortable, and soft. I have applied this on my 11 year old daughter’s skin before, with GREAT results. She has some bumps on the sides of her face and around her nose, so I applied this mask on the problem areas. I use it on her once a week, and after only 2 applications, the bumps decreased dramatically. I told her to notice a few things, like if it itches, or maybe it makes her skin feel tight. No complaints at all. In fact, she told me her skin feels great, softer!

Is there any question that I love The Herb Farm Revitalising Face Mask? No question. I will definitely repurchase, because I know it is one even my teenage daughter can use. It is affordable too! RM102.83 retail, and I think there is discount if you are a TNS Skin Lab member. If you’re looking for a mud mask that purifies and does not dry out your skin, I highly recommend The Herb Farm Revitalising Face Mask. Good stuff!!
